Buy 1 Get 1

I recently met with a local and prominent art director in a Minneapolis retail and marketing design firm. Upon looking at my portfolio and design work she pondered how I may/may not fit at the studio. Noting the artistic merit of my work she questioned how I might treat a common BUY ONE—GET ONE display ad. Here is my response, I did a quick image search of M&M candies and applied a reasonable and sound graphic treatment in the simplest most direct typographic treatment I could muster. I still didn’t get the job.
